Dynamics 365 In depth - Financials, Part 1

Early in 2016, Microsoft released 'Project Maderia' a cloud based ERP solution built on NAV architecture. It was largely lauded by members of the Microsoft Dynamics community. We suspected that Project Madeira was a sign of things to come from Microsoft. And it turned out to be true when Dynamics 365 arrived!

Scratching the surface of Dynamics 365 for financials

Dynamics 365 for financials is part of the Dynamics 365 suite that launched in the US on the 1st of November 2016. It's a fully SaaS ERP offering, that integrates entirely with the rest of the Dynamics 365 suite. You'll be able to enjoy the benefits of Office 365, whilst centralising all of your business functions.

Comprehensive quoting, invoicing and payment systems

Dynamics 365 for financials allows you to create personalised sales quotes and turn them into professional looking invoices – without actually leaving the Outlook interface! This unique feature of Dynamics 365 is designed to boost productivity of your staff so they don't have to navigate multiple systems.

You'll also find it easy to automatically process payments and reconcile bank account, easily identifying past-due accounts to expedite collections efforts.

Linking purchasing and Inventory Management

You'll be able to simplify and improve your supply chain management with a system that dynamically updates your inventory levels. Using the data of your inventory systems, Dynamics 365 for financials will automatically place orders for stock and offer you many forecasting options based on the data you feed into the system.

Forecasting sales is helped by predictive-intellience, a sophisticated AI system that analyses the data your business generates, whilst simultaneously monitoring open orders and tracking vendor lead times. The system is designed to help you reduce the number of out-of-stocks and drive sales and profits.

Data driven decision making

Like the rest of Dynamics 365, Financials boasts a rich suite of reporting tools. You'll be able to aggregate all of your financials data across accounting, sales, purchasing, inventory and customer accounts. You'll benefit from tools that allows you to get the complete picture of everything going on in your business.
