Is the grass always greener on the other side?

It's not always the case, but it's human nature to wonder if things could be better, and the more money you spend the more you wonder.

It's the same across every industry, but we want to look at your Dynamics solution. Whether you are using one of the Dynamics CRM or ERP solutions, the question is always the same. How can I make the most of my investment?

Initially you would have researched the marketplace before deciding Dynamics suited your needs, you would then have met with several vendors to identify the best company for your solution, based on criteria such as cost, timescale, case studies, location etc.

But once you've signed on the dotted line, do you regret that decision? Especially when you're initial promise of a quick implementation starts to drag and costs start to rise.

Think about it in terms of getting a car. You may buy one every 3 to 5 years. When you're making your decision you'll test drive the 2 or 3 you have in mind but there are hundreds of other models out there, all operating, handling, and feeling different.

So over the next few years you don't know how other vehicles operate. But then you rent a car on holiday and realise how much smoother, quieter, and nicer the ride is. You don't know what you don't know.

We've put together 4 warning signs that indicate that you may need to think about switching support partners:

1: Costs keep going up

Make sure you are getting all of the value you expect from your partner. They should be working with you to reduce the cost of your projects, not add to them. Your partner should be looking to refine costs and help to streamline your processes.

2: You’re stuck in a rut

The best partners always find ways to help you understand the systems complexities and tie it in with your business requirements. Ask yourself if your partner does this.

3: You never speak to the same person twice

Every time you reach out to your account manager, you find out that someone else with a new name and new email has stepped into that person's role to message you back. They say they'll be handling your account from here on out only to find out 3 months later when you email them for help, it's someone new yet again.
It's hard to build trust in a vendor relationship when you are constantly trying to re-educate a representative on your needs and expectations.

4: Your Account Isn't Getting Attention

When was the last time you heard from your partner?
No one wants to be ignored. If you feel your organisation is Priority Z, it may be time to find other partner who can give you more attention.
