Our Annual Dynamics Business Briefing Day was recently held in London at the fantastic One Moorgate Place venue where we invited our customers & partners to attend. Around 100 people were there on the day as we delved into some of the upcoming developments from Advantage as well as some of the key updates from Microsoft and the shift towards the Cloud. The various presentations throughout the day covered a wide range of subjects such as the Microsoft Roadmap, how to make the transition to the Cloud, Cyber Security, Making Tax Digital, Reporting and Power BI and much more.

Introduction to the Day
Justin Bown, Dynamics Sales Director, Advantage
Our Dynamics Sales Director, Justin Bown kicked things off by going through the full agenda for the day and what we wanted our attendees to take away from the event. Microsoft have been busy updating existing products following a number of scheduled updates with some changes impacting on businesses going forwards. At this point, we then introduced our partners for the day: SAP Concur, CyberSmart, DataBear, Solver & Equisys as well as announcing our prize draw to win a Sega MegaDrive or £50 voucher which was to be drawn at the end of the day.
Rob Pope, Microsoft
It has been an eventful year for Microsoft with many different announcements throughout this year regarding the product offerings and what the future holds. Rob touched on the Dynamics 365 & Power Platform, the Business Central Roadmap, how to empower business productivity through Microsoft PowerApps and how to maximise the AI opportunity.
A day in the life showcasing the full 365 Technologies
Andrew de Rouwe, Account Manager, Advantage
With the shift towards the Power Platform - One Database – Native Integration, Andrew touched on how you can accelerate sales with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Office 365. He also built on this by going a step further and showcased how you can unlock efficiencies with Dynamics 365 Business Central + Outlook together.
Transitioning to the Cloud – The why and how
Martyn Kemp, New Business Sales Manager, Advantage & Padraig Kelly, New Business Sales & Account Manager, Advantage
With more and more businesses debating whether to make the transition to the Cloud, Martyn & Paddy showcased how Cloud computing has evolved, the pros & cons of moving to the Cloud as well as discussing whether it is viable to partially move to the Cloud.
Product Roadmaps for NAV/Business Central, Dynamics GP & Dynamics 365

With Microsoft recently announcing major updates for its products, Martyn took us through the roadmap for Business Central following the recent Wave 2 update with Paddy guiding us through the Dynamics GP Roadmap after the recent GP update. Sven finished off the presentation by showcasing the future direction for Dynamics 365 in the coming years.
Making Tax Digital – Lessons Learnt

With Making Tax Digital the main topic of conversations across many businesses, Sharon took us through the MTD process, compliance and provided a number of solutions that are available for Dynamics GP & Dynamics NAV/Business Central users to ensure that their businesses are MTD compliant.

Sven Kolczak, New Business Sales & Account Manager, Advantage
With Microsoft shifting towards the use of PowerApps, Sven takes us through what they are, where the data comes from and then finishes up by discussing the overall benefits of PowerApps and the options that are available for Dynamics 365 users.
