Here are some of the new and improved features that Microsoft have focused on for its latest release which have been split into the following four key areas.
Dynamics GP 2018: Four Key Areas
The capabilities of workflow have been extended in the GP 2018. As well as new workflows, including general ledger account approvals and purchase order invoice approval, you are now able to copy a step within a workflow and send out reminder email messages from within workflow.
|Comprehensive Doc Attachment
Dynamics GP 2018 helps to widen the availability of the document attachment capability to additional master records windows, inquiries and transaction entry windows. Furthermore, the additional option of being able to attach new documents in inquiry windows is now included.
|Power "Suite" Evolution
The power "suite" evolution has now begun within Dynamics GP 2018 with support paging and filtering in OData Services, Support OData V4 and finally the GP Power BI content pack being added to the offering.
|User Experience Improvements
A number of enhancements have been made to make it easier for users to get to and find the data they require to be able to make decisions based on information stored in Dynamics GP. In Dynamics GP 2018, the following improvements have been added:
- Additional sorting options added and unique passwords can be entered for individual SmartList favourites.
- A shortcut to SmartList has been added to the web client.
- Auto-complete now included in the web client.
- One-click navigation to SmartList from web client.
